Max Emanuel Cencic returns to the Viennese State Opera
Whoever missed this year’s Monte Carlo production of Handel’s GIULIO CESARE with Parnassus Star Countertenor Max Emanuel Cencic (Tolomeo) alsongside Cecilia Bartoli (Cleopatra) has got another chance this July as the production will now go to Vienna State Opera. With the premiere on 06 July already sold out, there are only two more performances on 8 and 9 September 2024 left to see the staged production by David Livermore and Gianluca Capuano as musical direction. For this production, Max Emanuel Cencic returns to the State Opera after five years and will perform the role of Tolomeo.
After Tolomeo (Giulio Cesare) Max Emanuel Cencic will participate in the Gala Concert FARINELLI AND FRIENDS at Vienna State Opera. Under the musical direction of Gianluca Capuano, Max Emanuel Cencic is joining this thrilling event, singing alongside a cast of Baroque stars like Rolando Villazón, Maxim Mironov, Carlo Vistoli and Regula Mühlemann, but most prominently of course – Cecilia Bartoli herself.
On 20 July Max Emanuel Cencic will return to the Dubrovnik Festival for a Gala Concert with conductor Markellos Chryssicos and his ensemble Latinitas Nostra. The Parnassus Arts Production features arias from G.F. Handel and Nicola Porpora and will be performed at the Rector’s Palace Atrium in Dubrovnik.
After Vienna Max Emanuel Cencic will start rehearsing a new production and world premiere of Ifigenia in Aulide (Opera by Porpora), which will be presented at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera festival on 5, 7, 13 and 15 September 2024. Max Emanuel Cencic will be participate in a doublefunction: as stage director and also Max is singing the role of Agemennone.
